From 2014-2018, I worked on various projects made from recycled and unconventional materials that were shown in runway shows, exhibitions, and museum events organized by Trashion Fashion Hartford, Hartford Fashion Week, and The Wadsworth Atheneum.
The above photos show a dress I designed and made live during an event as part of Hartford Fashion Week at the Wadsworth Atheneum in 2015. It was constructed out of the museum's old marketing materials that would have otherwise been discarded.
Various looks designed and exhibited from 2014-2018. Materials include: magazines, shipping & packaging materials, pill bottles, tarp, plastic ukuleles, water bottles, and discontinued marketing materials from Nora Cupcake in Middletown, CT.
This dress was designed and made live at a family friendly event for the Wadsworth Atheneum's Gorey's Worlds exhibition in 2018. It was constructed out of childrens' Edward Gorey inspired drawings that were created by attendees at the event.
